Do I qualify in the state of Maryland For medical Marijuana?

A patient must first register at the Patient Registry and apply for approval from the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission prior to your medical evaluation.

Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) - Patient Registry

After receiving MMCC approval, you are ready to visit a physician registered with MMCC to obtain a valid written certification. Once fully registered and in possession of a valid certification, you may visit a licensed Maryland dispensary to purchase medical cannabis and, in addition, are eligible to purchase an optional patient ID card for a fee of $50.

The industry is still being constructed and we expect availability by the end of summer 2017 depending on industry progress. The Commission will make a public announcement once medical cannabis becomes available to the public.

Please note one of the following conditions are required to qualify for a medical cannabis recommendation in Maryland:

- Cachexia

- Anexoria

- Wasting Syndrome

- Severe Pain

- Severe Nausea

- Seizures

- Severe or Persistent Muscle Spasms

- Glaucoma

- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

- Chronic Pain

If you suffer from PTSD, you must have a written diagnosis from a psychiatrist or psychologist prior to your appointment.  The attending physician cannot diagnose mental conditions.
